Masterpieces from Van Cleef & Arpels private collection at Petrovsky Passage
Van Cleef & Arpels was founded at Place Vendôme in Paris. The jewelry house opened its first boutique there in 1906. The same year was marked by the opening of a magnificent shopping gallery: the Passage in the very heart of Moscow, between Petrovka and Neglinnaya Streets. The idea of building this department store belonged to Vera Firsanova, a member of a noted merchant family. The Passage housed the very best trade houses of the time and was a meeting place for the Russian fashion elite.
In 2018 Van Cleef & Arpels is opening a new boutique in this landmark building. The shop will become the Embassy of High Jewelry Art in CIS and Turkey.
To commemorate the opening of the new boutique a special exhibition highlighting the Masterpieces from Van Cleef & Arpels private collection focuses on the creative history of the jewelry house: more than 60 items designed from 1910 through the 1980s are presented here.
These jewelry creations are a part of the brand’s legacy and reflect its rich traditions. Two-thirds of the showpieces were acquired very recently.
Do not miss a viewing of the epitome of jewelry art at Van Cleef & Arpels Boutique, Petrovsky Passage. The exhibition is open until January 13, 2019, Monday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 10 PM. See you soon!
