Lardini corner was opened at VESNA in Novy Arbat
Another place of power that each self-respecting dandy must visit in Moscow was opened at VESNA in Novy Arbat. You are welcome to the corner of Italian brand Lardini. According to the founders, the brand creates clothes for men, "who want to dress in classic style, but do not want to look old-fashioned." They seem to set a difficult task, but taking into account the newly opening stores in Europe, Japan, Korea, the US and Russia, they cope with it brilliantly.
Lardini is about almost forty years of timeline, local know-how, passion for its work and dedication to the famous Italian quality. They carefully store and convey the secrets of tailor's craftsmanship. The headquarters of the brand are located in Filotrano, a charming medieval town in the Ancona district, which has always been famous for the various clothes-making manufactories. The Lardini family, the brothers Andrea and Luigi and their sister Lorena, organized a small sewing factory in 1976. They received an order for sewing men's suits from Versace immediately. By the 1990s, Salvatore Ferragamo, Etro, Donna Karan, Fendi & Burberry were among their loyal customers. Inspired by the success, Lardini started the world expansion, working under its own name.
1993 marked the appearance of the first Lardini men's collection distinguished by innovative solutions in classic articles, as well as the latest & up-to-date approaches to clothes production. The technology of sleeves’ setting into the jacket without wrinkles regardless of the arm position is among them.
Today, Lardini has several lines that differ in approach, but are united by the attention to detail. A boutonniere on jackets’ and coats’ lapels became the recognizable symbol of their classic yet modern style.
FW collection 2017/2018 is distinguished by laconic silhouettes & luxurious natural fabrics like cashmere, silk with cashmere & yak wool used for production of elegant blazers, coats, three-piece suits, jackets and shirts. Classic British patterns are applied: Prince of Wales checks, chalk strips, various kinds of tartan & jacquard are borrowed from the Foggy Albion gentlemen.
The color palette of the collection sounds like a poem reminiscent of the shades of golden autumn in the English estate. Brown in all its manifestations from beige and mustard to saturated coffee, diluted by the flashes of dark blue, sea-blue and bordeaux prevails.
