The visionary of surrealism: the Open Arts Festival Chereshnevy Les introduces an exhibition of Giorgio de Chirico in the Tretyakov Gallery

Open Arts Festival Chereshnevy Les with the support of BOSCO DI CILIEGI together with the State Tretyakov Gallery in Krymsky Val presents the exhibition "Giorgio de Chirico. Metaphysical insights." This very event marks the start of the XVII Arts Festival Chereshnevy Les on April 20th. 
Press conference in TASS dedicated to the opening of the exhibition featured the general director of the State Tretyakov Gallery Zelphira Tregulova, the curator of the exhibition Tatyana Goryacheva, the director of the Italian Institute of Culture Olga Strada and the organizer of the Open Arts Festival Chereshnevy Les Mikhail Kusnirovich.

This is the first large-scale retrospective of the Italian artist Giorgio de Chirico in Russia, where you can fully experience the incredible magic of his seemingly serene full of meanings canvases reminiscent of the calm sea. The exhibition, arranged jointly with the Foundation of Giorgio and Iza de Chirico, will show over 110 paintings, graphics, sculptures, theatrical costumes made by the artist for the enterprise of Sergei Diaghilev to the “Ball” ballet in 1929, as well as archival materials and shots.
The National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, the Museum of Modern Art of Trento and Rovereto (MART), the Pompidou Center, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Paris, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow and other museums of Italy, France, Great Britain also take part in the arrangement of the display.
