Neapolitan Cuisine Weeks at Bosco Café

Starting from April 14, Bosco Café at GUM and Petrovsky Passage are hosting Neapolitan Cuisine Weeks, paying homage to one of the most popular, rich, and diverse regions of Italy.

Naples is known for its distinct climate, geographic location, and temperament. Each dish from this region possesses a wonderful flavour. Neapolitan pizza is the most beloved pizza variety in the world!

Bosco Café chef Davide Corso created the menu together with the popular menswear brand Isaia that was established in Naples during the 1920s and remains the embodiment of luxurious men’s clothing. Each item boasts thought-through detailing and fine Neapolitan craftsmanship.

The new menu is exquisite both in terms of flavours and plating: light yet complex vegetable salads, olives and grilled calamari with white wine sauce, baked Mozzarella, spicy mussels braised in white wine, Naples-style eggplant, and rigatoni with tomatoes and basil.

Those of us looking for a hearty meal should try spaghetti allo scoglio, Neapolitan ragout with rice arancini, baked halibut with pilati sauce, rabbit all'ischitana with thick tomato sauce.

Naturally, the menu includes Neapolitan pizza: Mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh basil, and olive oil. Simple ingredients for everybody’s favourite pizza!

For desserts, Davide Corso recommends that you compliment the cafe’s fragrant coffee with orange-lemon sherbet, pastiera napoletana with barley, ricotta, and dried fruit or the classic babà napoletano al rum with lemon cream.

Buon appetito! See you at Bosco Café!
