The Company of Musketeers of Armagnac is celebrating its 70th anniversary. The society was established by a descendant of the family of Count d'Artagnan, Pierre, Marquis de Montesquiou who decided to uphold the traditions of musketeers to attract outside attention to the homeland of Count d'Artagnan and Armagnac. Igor Butman, Konstantin Ernst, Andrey Dellos, Mikhail Boyarsky, Evelina Khromchenko, Leonid Pechatnikov, Bosco di Ciliegi owner Mikhail Kusnirovich and many other successful and honorable Russians hold the title of musketeers. Albert II, Prince of Monaco, Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, Prince Michael of Kent, Prince Joachim of Denmark, Leonardo DiCaprio, and John Malkovich are among internationally recognized musketeers.
On May 29, National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia creative director and head conductor Vladimir Spivakov joined the company of musketeers during the ceremony held at the Moscow State Conservatory. Spivakov proclaimed the famous motto: “One for all, all for one.” The 21st Cherry Forest Open Art Festival, National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia creative director and head conductor Vladimir Spivakov and famous French cellist Gautier Capuçon presented classic masterpieces at the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory. The program includes pieces by such great composers as Jules Massenet, Maurice Ravel, and Camille Saint-Saëns.
