Max Mara: the Institute of Suit
"You look at Max Mara articles and see the luxurious Italian businesswomen who sip their espresso doppio during the lunch time," - that is how the well-known fashion journalist Carine Roitfeld has described the style of the iconic brand. We want this southern ease and tranquility, as well as the ability to enjoy dolce vita even on the busiest weekday in the north. Max Mara articles can create this impression. "You go to Max Mara, if you need a good classic overcoat," Roitfeld says. We can say the same about a luxurious business suit.
Max Mara understand what is expected from it, so suits and coats are brought to perfection in the new fall-winter collection. The designers decided not to waste their talents for prints, making a bet on monochrome and the three of their signature classic colors of blood red, the noble shade of beige called camel, pearl gray and dramatic black, which are called "pantheon" by the brand. Expensive fabrics (velvet, sheepskin, wool), impeccable cuts and accessories (deliberately large bags) more than compensate the absence of seeming diversity.
Wool is the main fabric of Max Mara and the collection has showed it once again. The new joint project with Woolmark, uniting all Australian producers of merino wool, is called Wool Denim. It is the fabric that looks like denim, but remains wool, because according to the chief designer of the brand Laura Lusuardi, the traditional denim "is still too casual for us ". Suits, trousers and waistcoats from the Wool Denim capsule collection promise to become the main trend of the upcoming fall.
Max Mara style and handwriting is about austere, but at the same time incredibly tempting look. The brand does not change from season to season, but surpasses itself each time.
The new collection is already available in the boutiques of the brand, in particular, in GUM, Petrovsky and Smolensky Passages, VESNA, as well as in St. Petersburg, Sochi and Samara.
