Max Mara: Brazilian passion

It seems we can guess what city amazons will be wearing in a new SS season - they will certainly opt for the new Max Mara collection. This time the designers were inspired by the works of Lina Bo Bardi - the architect, designer and intellectual from Sao Paulo, whose ideas were far ahead of her era.
Bo Bardi was mad about bright flora and fauna of Brazil, which is reflected in the patterns printed on the colorful pencil-skirts, overalls, bombers, zippered sports dresses and bathing suits. Straight-cut dresses and shaggy sweaters are decorated with raging Brazilian jungle and its tropic inhabitants like parrots or lemurs. Prints in the shape of tattered layers of propaganda posters is a vortex of design, culture and politics into which Bo Bardi had been plunged.
She went down into the history of design as the creator of the iconic Bowl Chair model. Its worn brown leather and saddle stitch appears on the luxurious suede and reversible articles as well as on the new BoBag.
Like Max Mara, Bo Bardi was fond of traditional leather craftsmanship and new technologies. Therefore, high-tech jersey and nylon were borrowed from sportswear to be used in the eye-catching form-fitting dresses and jumpsuits, structured mesh renewed the design of the iconic branded coat 101801.

The collection is  in-store already. See you in GUM, Petrovsky Passage, Smolensky Passage & VESNA.
