Marina Rinaldi: the Caribbean meets the Mediterranean
You should not think that Marina Rinaldi is a brand "for respectable ladies". It is not clothes for the ladies of considerable age. It is fashionable clothes in the first place. The joint collection with Stella Jean proofs this once again.
One of the best young Italian designers, the Haitian Stella Jean lives in Rome, where her studio is located. Giorgio Armani took her under his wing. She makes the collections with a distinct Caribbean flavor, passed through the filter of the refined Italian elegance. Being thought out and tailored strictly and accurately, her clothes features the abundance of colors, the variety flora & fauna, and volume of course.
Marina Rinaldi and Stella Jean collaboration is released  under the motto "The Caribbean meets the Mediterranean." Both styles are beautiful and vital, but it is the refined Mediterranean that balances the Caribbean Carnival.
Stella Jean style is about a lot of complex prints - graphic against white background, geometric & ethnic against brick-red, or just multi-colored, similar to the Sicilian majolica mosaic.
Jacquard, satin, cotton poplin and crepe de chine are the most noble summer fabrics. There are jewels, featuring the fusion of mixed papier-mâché, iron and ceramics with parrots meet crabs. There are absolutely delightful multi-colored sandals with thick soles. A special dress was coined in order to present this collection in Russia. It can be bought only in Marina Rinaldi stores in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Spring collection also focuses on colors’ abundance and pulsating color combinations. There are combinations of orange with purple, yellow with white, sea blue with the color of summer blue sky. There is much fuchsia and fresh strawberry. There are basic neutral colors like twilight blue-purple, gray, dusty pink, the color of dark chocolate, warm brown and cool beige and gray. And a lot of white, of course.
The collections are available in Marina Rinaldi spaces in Moscow, including GUM, Petrovsky Passage, Smolenky Passage & VESNA, as well as in St. Petersburg, Sochi & Samara.
