Jil Sander introduces the iconic View Bag with a la russe print launched in a limited series of 20 copies
Creative Director of Jil Sander Rodolfo Paglialunga have decided to reinterpret the model of the iconic View Bag, replenishing it with an exclusive print inspired by Russian culture.

The famous domes of St. Basil's Cathedral and the bright painted matreshkas were showed in a new light to become the zest of the SS collection.

On the one hand, the design is about strict geometry that refers to the graphics of the 60s, and on the other hand it strikes with an extraordinary saturation & recognizable flair. That is the way how an offbeat pattern was born.

It's amazing but this gamy diversity, which retains the traits of military style & Japanese anime, is perfect for the View Bag featuring envelope shape. The sophisticated design, which is about the recognizable diamond-shaped cut in the middle allowing to keep the design integrity and change the shape while moving, just benefits from this ironic print.

The bag is launched in a limited series of 20 copies that will be sold at Jil Sander boutiques in GUM and Petrovsky Passage.

"I like to play with fashion. Fashion doesn’t mean something serious or correct. It is a way of expression using similar vivid details"- Paglialunga said.

The fans of the brand and collectors should hurry as Rodolfo Paglialunga will personally put an envelope with a letter to the owner into each of 20 bags!
