Fr om April 9 through 14, in Milan, the Florence Manufactory Richard Ginori presents its central premiere – the porcelain collection Il Viaggio di Nettuno, a result of the collaboration with the London-based artist Luke Edward Hall. Richard Ginori always surprises his fans at the long-awaited international design event – 2019 Salone Del Mobile. The new collection embodies art and design and includes allusions and ironic references to the past.
Inspired by the designer’s weakness for Greek and Roman mythology, and particularly, to Neptune, the Roman God of the Sea, and to his wife Salacia, the collection envisions a new art wh ere classics and contemporary design intertwine. The depictions of ancient Gods on plates, saucers, cups, and vases make the tableware unique. Besides Il Viaggio di Nettuno, the Manufactory will also display its Corona Monogram collection: initials became the main decorations on porcelain side plates, dessert plates, bowls, dinner tableware. Corona Monogram perfectly matches other Richard Ginori collections, while creating new combinations of white and decorated porcelain.
