IL GUFO BELIEVES IN MAGIC

On January 19th, small models, showing the new FW 2017 collection by Il Gufo arranged a spectacular show in the huge Odeon cinema in Florence and acted as real illusionists and magicians within the 84th exhibition of children's clothing Pitti Bimbo.

Childhood is the time of miracles. That is why the new collection is about magic. It features emerging prints on sweatshirt, crystal balls, hiding fantasy worlds on T-shirts and glistening drops of magic color sparks on holiday suits. All clothes are ultimately comfy & loose, so as not to hamper and allow young men & ladies of fashion to play and run around with their friends.

There are natural & lightweight top-quality fabrics like denim, velvet & wool. Denim unites the collection, appearing in the original details and appliques that makes even the most classic suits look casual, just like chunky knit and small jacquard inserts.
There is the abundance of color as childhood should be bright. Classic black is refreshed by unexpected combination of turquoise and yellow, and gray is suddenly exploded by cherry. Bright red pompoms on spats - for girls, dark blue plaid and maroon stripes on scarves – for boys. Stylish geometric print of large checks is firstly used in children’s collection.

Elegant coats and dresses for girls are made in the style of Paris fashion of the late 1970s featuring flaring silhouette and high waistline. The boys paraded wearing cozy duffle coats, down jackets, short sheepskin coats, which go perfect with loose military trousers with many pockets and classic jeans.

Capsule collection of attires for special events Silver Label also balanced on the verge of dream and reality to be in tune with the magic air of the show. Long mysterious gowns of wizards dressed by girls hid long dress of blue velvet with fluffy skirts of tulle and taffeta clouds. Young gentlemen in elegant velvet dinner jackets with lapels and bows of taffeta and white shirts kept the company to their charming companions.

And footwear, of course: girls were dressed in magical shoes embroidered with dark crimson sequins, patent leather flats and suede ankle boots. Boys stepped along the runway in soft slip-ons, comfy shoes with bulky sole and sneakers.
