The Tour of the Bolshoi Theater in La Scala with the support of GUM and Bosco di Ciliegi

Marius Petipa's ballet La Bayadère edited by Yuri Grigorovich was shown with the support of GUM and Bosco di Ciliegi at the La Scala Theater in Milan on September 10th.

The International Festival "Russian Seasons", which takes place in Italy this year, opens up new opportunities for the intercultural dialogue. The program of this large-scale event is very diverse. It is about the tours of the best Russian musical bands and orchestras, ballet, opera & drama artists, as well as set-outs from the collections of the largest Russian museums and other events.

From September 7th to 13th, the tour of the Bolshoi Theater takes place at the stage of the world-famous La Scala Theater within the "Russian Seasons" festival. The Bolshoi Theater is the symbol of Russian culture, combining great historical heritage and an outstanding modern ballet and opera. This tour is the climax of the festival "Russian Seasons" in Italy.

Marius Petipa's ballet La Bayadère edited by Yuri Grigorovich was shown with the support of GUM and Bosco di Ciliegi at the La Scala Theater in Milan on September 10th.

The ballet was firstly shown in St. Petersburg in 1877. "La Bayadere" is one of the world-renowned masterpieces of the classical theater repertoire. Bosco di Ciliegi and GUM arranged a cocktail party in the museum of the La Scala Theater during the intermission. The director of the La Scala Theater Alexander Pereira, the designer Miucia Prada and the artist Francesco Vetstsoli, the designer Alberta Ferretti, the head of Isaia brand Gianluca Isaia, the creative director of Etro Home and the director of communications Jacopo Etro, the founder of Etro House Girolamo Etro, the CEO of the Pomellato Group Sabina Belli, the ballerina Carla Fracci, the designer Imelde Bronzieri, the actress & wife of Eros Ramazotti Marika Pellegrinielli, the stylist Leila Yavari, the actor Paolo Stella, the blogger Julia Valentino, Mikhail Kusnirovich, Ekaterina Moiseeva and Teimuraz Guguberidze were spotted among the guests.

After the performance, the guests went to the stage to congratulate the ballet troupe. Mikhail Kusnirovich, the head of the Bosco di Ciliiegi group of companies, introduced the two ambassadors of the Italian Republic, the former Italian Ambassador to Russia Cesare Maria Ragaglini, who blessed La Scala's tour to Moscow and an agreement on a return visit, and the current ambassador, Pasquale Terracciano.

GUM is the long-term privileged partner of the Bolshoi Theater, starting from the 241st theatrical season 2016-2017. The beginning of the cooperation was marked by a bright event in the cultural life of Russia and Italy. The world-famous La Scala toured at the historic stage of the Bolshoi Theater in September 2016 within the Open Arts Festval Chereshnevy Les, established by Bosco di Ciliegi. The festival has repeatedly turned to Italian art, glorified Italian culture and its contribution to the world heritage. In different years the program of the festival was decorated with prima ballerina Carla Fracci, classics of the Italian cinema and theater Franco Zeffirelli and Tonino Guerra, the world famous fashion designer Roberto Capucci, the renowned conductor Riccardo Muti and many others ... The exhibitions of great Italians Leonardo da Vinci, Sandro Botticelli, Parmigianino & Amedeo Modigliani had occupied their rightful places at the posters of the festival. The story of the Chereshnevy Les is also about events that took place in Italy. They are the opening of the monument to the "Dante's Rook" in Venice, the exhibition of works by Sylvester Shchedrin and the concert of Yuri Bashmet in Sorrento.

It is a great honor for GUM and Bosco di Ciliegi to support the Bolshoi Theater's tour to La Scala. This historic event once again underlines the common interest in the exchange of cultural codes of the two countries.
