Giving Hope Foundation to Open a Monument to Homeless Animals in Moscow
On October 5, at 13:00, the National Monument to Homeless Animals will be unveiled at the Muzeon Art Park to celebrate World Animal Day.
The project was realized by the Giving Hope International Charity Foundation for Helping Animals. The foundation – the first of its kind in Russia – is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2020. The organization actively participates in the reformation of laws in the field of animal protection and holds homeless animal fairs.
Several years ago, the Giving Hope Foundation announced the All-Russian Contest for the Design of the Monument to Homeless Animals. The committee, headed by Leonid Yarmolnik and Mikhail Kusnirovich, considered 40 designs and chose 13 finalists the work of which was displayed at GUM for all visitors to see.
This year the monument will finally be unveiled in Muzeon. The author Natalia Sisenko created a moving image of a dog – the symbol of care for all animals. The unveiling ceremony will be held with the support of Mosgorpark and the Department of Culture of Moscow. The event will be attended by many famous guests, including members of the foundation board – Leonid Yarmolnik, Evgeny Mironov, Andrey Makarevich, Oksana Yarmolnik, Mikhail Kusnirovich – and Vladimir Burmatov, head of the Ecology and Environmental Protection Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Dogs that are under the protection of the foundation are also invited to the event.
Veterinarians and animal psychologists will be present at the event to offer consultations to all animal owners. Visit the charity fair to buy gifts and provide donations to the animals that require our help.
See you at the opening ceremony at Muzeon!
