Bosco Di Ciliegi opens a new Bosco Cafe at Petrovsky Passage
The new Bosco Cafe space is nestled in the imposing and austere building dating from the 19th century, between Petrovka and Neglinnaya Streets. The classical Italian-style district in the downtown of Moscow is distinguished by luxe service and exquisite cuisine.
The magnificent Passage Department Store opened its doors in 1906, in the center of Moscow, between Petrovka and Neglinnaya Streets. The idea of building this department store belonged to Vera Firsanova, a member of a noted merchant family. The Passage housed the very best trade houses of the time and was a meeting place for the Russian fashion elite. Bosco Cafe seamlessly fits into the floor plan at Petrovsky Passage, as if it has always been there, between the 1st and 2nd lines.
Both of the Bosco Cafe Halls are designed in one of the varieties of Italian Modern style – Liberty style. The first hall exits to Neglinnaya Street. It can seat up to 36 guests. The décor and materials were all carefully selected at an array of Italian shops: elegant lamps, unique Murano glass chandeliers, pastel upholstery, Frette table line and heavy velvet curtains, Broggi tableware and antique furniture dating from the 19th century.
The ceilings are decorated with frescoes painted by Italian and Russian painters. They are themed around the Bosco Cafe corporate style. Marvel at the patterns on Richard Ginori’s porcelain dinnerware! The crockery was produced at the legendary Florence shop especially for Bosco Cafe.
You can enter the second hall of Bosco Cafe featuring a live piano and a large bar from the Passage. It can accommodate about 60 people. The beautiful Palladiano Italian style marble mosaic floors are hand-made. The soft light makes the whole space fell very cozy.
A visit to Bosco Cafe is perfect for an evening of fine dining. The confectionary display with the famous Bosco Cafe desserts is a treasure trove for people with a sweet tooth. The gourmet delights from the GUM Bosco Cafe menu created by Davide Corso can now be ordered at the Passage. The choice of the view is yours – the quiet Neglinnaya or the busy Red Square. Good news for those who like to enjoy their meals outdoors: an open-air terrace on Neglinnaya will be open during the warm season.
See you at the new Bosco Cafe (Petrovsky Passage), and buon appetito!
