Alberta Ferretti: once in Venice
The Italian Alberta Ferretti dedicated her FW collection to Venice this season: flowing chiffon dresses, capes and jackets are decorated with prints featuring the images of the famous Venetian canals & St. Mark's Square. Apparently, it was not without The Young Pope series: wide-brimmed hats in the style of the Pontiff's headdresses played by Jude Law & fluttering parade capes, which can still be seen in the corridors of the Vatican.
According to the designer, fall is about black & red, yellow, burgundy, gray and powder shades. Loose flared trousers, stripes on coats and jumpers and sailors' collars are the references to the marine theme. To be more exact, to the attires of the famous gondoliers. Huge floral prints against shining velvet and translucent chiffon remind of the luxurious interiors of the Venetian palazzo.
The most interesting happens when evening comes: gold stars sparkling against the black background, birds and lions, mysterious feathers, long dresses, capes, hats and masks - plunge into the enchanting world of the Venetian carnival that dissolves like a vision in the first rays of the dawn sun.
The new collection is already available in the boutiques of the brand in GUM, Petrovsky Passage, VESNA & St. Petersburg.
