Chinese New Year Festival starts in GUM on February 8th
Chinese New Year Festival will be opened in GUM on February 8th. It will run for almost a month, until February 28th and timed to the Festival of Spring, or to the Chinese New Year – a 4000-year-old holiday, which is celebrated in the Celestial Empire according to the lunar calendar. In 2018, the arrival of the Year of the Dog will be celebrated on February 16th.
GUM also celebrates this holiday in style for the first time in its more than a century-old timeline. The festive decoration of GUM from the world-famous contemporary artist Jackie Tsai, the exhibition Conde Nast Traveler China and the Chinese Cultural Center, the menu from the Hong Kong owner of three Michelin stars, traditional show of acrobats, tea ceremonies and calligraphy work-shops - all the colors of China in the main department store Russia are prepared for all our guests from February 8th to 28th.
Most events are free - follow the program, which will soon appear at our website.
In the meantime, all those who speak Chinese can get acquainted with an article from the Chinese Vogue, which has already written about it! Tap the link
